We Remember
PADMORE, Thomas “Tom”
—
It is with heavy and aching hearts we announce the sudden passing of Thomas (Tom) Padmore on July 15, 2017. His indescribable passion for the outdoors has taken his precious life way too soon.
Our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend left us while living his passion, climbing Mt. Sir Donald, reaching heights most of us only see in pictures.
With his incredible thirst for adventuring, Starbucks and outdoing himself at every turn, Thomas accomplished more in his 30 years than most would in a lifetime.
An electrician by trade, Thomas was a dedicated employee, leader and expert light bulb changer.
With a heart bigger than the mountains he climbed, Thomas will be forever missed by all who knew him.
Thomas (Tom) is survived by his loving family, his parents and stepfather; sisters Amanda (Burton), Nicole (Ryan) and Cindy (Darrin); Brother Mike (Connie); nieces, nephews and grandparents.
To celebrate his life, join us at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd, Kelowna at 1pm on July 28, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Climbers’ Access Society of BC. www.access-society.ca/Donate

Our heart goes out to Carol and Family at this difficult time. We want to express our deepest sympathy and let you know our thoughts are with you. We wish you peace and healing during this time and know that we are always here for you.
My thoughts go out to his family during this difficult time. I only knew Thomas for a short period, having met him that day on Sir Donald. In that short time, I really developed a lot of respect for his kindness, humour, and inspiring enthusiasm for the mountains. We shared lunch at the summit where I got to know a little bit about his accomplishments and ambitions, many of which I was very impressed with. I’m so so sorry for your loss. Please let me know if you need any information about that day or just want to talk to someone.
We are so sorry for your loss. It is a blessing to have lived life so full as he did….life is so precious.
Carol,Glenn and families. So sorry for your loss. May your heart heal, and never forget all your treasured memories. Peace be with you all during this time.
We are so saddened by your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Carol and Glen.
Our hearts go out to you Carol and the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Tom was a very special person and a beautiful soul.
Our private condolences are in the card I mailed to you. Do you remember when Thomas was 5 years old just before kindergarten when you said to me on the phone…. “Oh my God, I have to go… Thomas has dragged the ladder over and he is on the roof of the barn” !!!!
I am so sorry for your loss. I got to know Thomas through his step brother Mike and father Peter on the annual trip to the drag races in Kent Washington. Thomas has left me with fond memories of the weekends spent together at the track. Thomas was a great guy and will be missed by everyone.
Our thoughts are with you all.
I’ll always have great memories of weekends away with Thomas. Although he was a teenager at the time it never felt like we’d brought along a youngster. He was always very mature for his age. Although it’s been a few years since I’ve seen him I will probably always remember him this way, a good-natured guy who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, someone who was always ready for an adventure no matter where it took him.
I am deeply saddened by his passing. My condolences to all his family and friends for your loss.
My heart and thoughts are with you Carol and your family. I am saddened that I never got to know Thomas, he sounds like an incredible young man with so much love of life and adventure. I wish had words to take away the pain of such a loss.
Tom will forever be a treasured part of our family and fondly remembered for being the kind-hearted, fun-loving adventurer he was. Our dear friend is much loved and very much missed.
I am shocked and saddened with the news of Tom’s accident and I wish to send my thoughts, prayers and condolences to the family. I only knew Tom for a short time but it didn’t take long to recognize his quality’s including commitment to completing his work well. I was looking forward to him coming back to finish the electrical work he and his fellow worker were doing at Evangel Church as well as having more opportunity to talk about our common interest in the outdoors and the electrical trade we both worked at. He left all who knew him much to soon, He will be missed.
