We Remember

PARKER, Stan

With great sadness and sorrow, Karen and Jenna announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Stan Parker, at the age of 66, on September 27, 2023, at the Kelowna General Hospital.

Stan was raised in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, and left in 1975 after graduating from high school. He moved to Edmonton, Alberta, where he began a lifelong career in the construction industry. Stan made many good friends in his career, many of whom he stayed in touch with over the years.

In 2021, Stan retired to part-time work, which allowed him more time to enjoy his two favourite things – golfing and camping with his family and friends. Many special memories were made over the last few years doing what he loved, with those he cared for most.

Left to mourn are Stan’s wife and best friend of 46 years, Karen, and his cherished daughter, Jenna, who was his everything. Stan is also survived by brothers Warren (Lori), Wade (Rita), Ryan (Iris), and Dale; as well as his special sisters-in-law Brenda (Jeff), and Charlotte (Andy) and brothers-in-law Glenn (Sandy), and Rodney (Kendra). Stan had many nieces and nephews, along with their families, who were very special to him. He also leaves his “Special Ones”, you know who you are. He will be also sorely missed by our best camping and golfing friends, Penny and Ron, Houndy and Willa, and Dale and Shirley.

Raise a beer and cheers to Stan, we love you.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you raise a beer or enjoy a round of golf, and spend time with your loved ones in his honour. No service by request.
