We Remember
PARR, Albert Edmund
—
It is with great sadness that the family of Albert Edmund Parr announces his passing on June 16, 2020, at the Kelowna General Hospital. Albert was born to the late Wilhelm and Selma (nee Link) Parr in Neudorf, Saskatchewan.
He will always be fondly remembered and loved by his children Deborah, Shelley (Alan Tassé), and Michael; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings Bruno, Harold, Helen; and extended family and friends. Albert was predeceased by his granddaughter Cherish; grandson Beau; his siblings Gertrude (in infancy), Freda, William “Bill”, Edward, Matilda, Rudolph, Jack, Clarence, Alvin, Marlene, and Annette; as well as his son-in-law Evan Merasty
Albert strived to live as a witness to his Saviour, Jesus Christ the Lord. His family takes great comfort in the legacy of his faith.
Due to the current public health crisis, all funeral arrangements were held privately. Interment took place at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
A heartfelt thank-you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Kelowna General Hospital for their care and support during Albert’s final days; BC Ambulance Service; Interior Health Authority Community Health Workers; Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery; Springfield Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time; Pastor Tony Essex; and to the residents and management of Park Housing Society for their friendship, thoughtfulness, and support over the years.

My condolences go out to you. I understand the loss, having lost my mother (Annette Parr in 2015). She spoke often of Albert and shared many stories of growing up. May he rest in peace!
Albert was my Uncle, but I never knew him. His youngest sister was my Mom, Annette Parr. She passed away in 2015. Albert only has two brothers left now named Harold and Bruno. Sometimes I visit Bruno to check in on him. My sincere condolences to his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
