We Remember
BUDD, Payton Leigh
June 9, 1998 — April 30, 2017
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, our brother, our friend on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the age of 18. His loss will be forever felt by his father Thomas Budd, mother Annette Toro-Huber, step father Harold Huber, step siblings: Wyatt, Laura and Jessica Huber; grandfather Alan Budd; Aunt Cheryl (Wayne) Gellhaus; Uncle George (Carol) Budd and extended family and friends. Payton was predeceased by his brother Dillon. He had many passions and interests: his love for his dog Gracie, basketball and just hanging out with his friends. Payton was a charismatic young man with a gentle soul, whose infectious laugh could be heard after one of his many pranks. We will miss him forever and will continue to keep him in our hearts. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday May 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm, at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 4619 Lakeshore Road with Reverend Anne Privett officiating. Celebration of Life to follow for Payton’s friends and their families in Payton’s backyard, 4594 Fuller Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church towards the Memorial Gardens to honour Dillon and Payton Budd.

I want to express my most heartfelt and deepest sypmathy to Annette and family. While I did not have much time with Payton or Dillon, I will forever remember their warmth and pure depth of their personalities. I clearly remember Christmas 2014 where we sang and played video games in Marcella’s basement. My heart is broken for you and you are forever in my thoughts. Sending you all my love.
Dear Tom. I am saddened beyond words to hear about your tragic loss. My heart and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time. With much love Cynthia Waldek-Peters
Dear family of Payton,
I went to school with Payton both junior and senior high. Payton was very witty and friendly. One day I was really struggling on some math. Payton helped me with my work and helped me understand it better. Another fond memory I have of Payton is when we were playing basketball in gym class. I had the ball and Payton was on the opposing team defending. I quickly pass it to my team mate and my teammate makes a basket. The whole gym class was teasing Payton about letting me get past his defence. Even though Payton looked a bit embarrased he took it all in stride. My thoughts are with you. Sending all my love.
Sincerely,
Rachel Crossfield.

Dear Tom, Annette and Payton’s family,
I am so sad to hear that Payton has passed. I have wonderful memories of his and my son Alex’s childhood friendship. Payton was a sweet, kind, sensitive soul and the boys had such a good time together. You are in my thoughts, heart and prayers.
Tom and Annette:
Words cannot effectively express our deep sadness upon hearing of Payton’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families during this very challenging time.
To reflect on positive memories of the boys might be helpful to ease your sorrow. As neighbours, we have such fond memories of watching the boys from the beach in their excitement enjoying the various water sports you introduced them to. On land, we could watch with delight while Dillion was having great fun driving his junior Jeep around the property. As the years went on, it was wonderful to see Payton have such enjoyment around his basketball hoop playing with his buddies. It was a pleasure to watch these boys grow from toddlers to teenagers.
We want you to know we will be there to support you in this very challenging and difficult journey!
With love
The Charles Family

Annette & Tom,
I’m at a loss for words after finding out about the passing of Payton. I’m so devastated and heartbroken for you both. I can’t imagine what you must be feeling even now. I imagine the memories of Payton and the joy he brought still fill you every moment and I hope it brings you some peace and comfort. Payton was such a smart and fun kid who love to be playful and silly. He definitely had an infectious laugh and we always had so much fun when he and Dillon were little. I have such fond memories of both boys. I’m truly sorry for your loss and will be thinking and praying for you both.
