My sincerest condolences. I knew RG as an enthusiastic musician who pitched projects and played me renditions of songs he wanted to include in future shows. I had no idea he was dealing with any health issues at that time about four years ago. His energy and enthusiasm made an impression on me and I’m sure many others. Sending his friends and family peace during this difficult time.
I have just learned of Grant’s passing, in June. I spent many years, in many combos performing music with Grant. We had an awesome musical connection and we had some of the best players join us on gigs with The JazzTex here in Ontario. He got us into some of the best venues. I am sorry I won’t be able to see him again, but I have a ton of memories and experiences to enjoy. All the best to his family. Here is a picture of us taken at my home on my birthday, January 31, 2017.
