Went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the age of 85. Survived by her loving husband Pete; three daughters: Dorothy (Ed) Rempel of High River, AB, Sharon of Maple Ridge, BC, Ruth of Waldheim, SK; three sons: Dave (Tena) of Waldheim, SK, Milt (Kathy) of Glennallen, Alaska, James (Debbi) of Kelowna, BC; 22 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother Donald Schoenwald (Anita) of Painesville, Ohio; two sisters: Delphia Sawatzky (Harry, deceased) and Irene Smith (Marvin, deceased) both of Billings, Montana; as well as many nieces and nephews. Sadly predeceased by her parents Henry and Susie Schoenwald, brother Harvey, sisters: Eva Boese, Johannah Schoenwald and Lyla Schoenwald. Delores was born in Glendive, Montana on May 22, 1927 and raised on a farm in the Richey area. She came to faith in Christ at age 14, was baptized and joined the church. She was a good, caring mother to her six children and a loving wife to her husband. Delores was a good cook and an excellent seamstress. Her alto voice contributed significantly to many services. Her love for and devotion to the Lord had a positive influence on the family. She passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ in the Baptist Housing facility in Kelowna, BC. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 10:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Interment to follow in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideons, c/o 593 Spruceview Place South, Kelowna, BC, V1V 1S8.

Dear Peter’s Family: Just heard of Dolores’ homegoing we know she will be greatly missed. We have a great memory of her as our neighbor and wish you God’s peace during this difficult time
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. We celebrate the homecoming of a godly lady, one that we have many great memories, including our trip to the Ukraine.
Edith and I know that aunt Dolores is in a new and fulfilling experience, supported by the love of God. To the family, we offer our condolences and we know that that same Divine Love supports us all.
