We Remember

PIATTELLI, Bruno
January 5, 1945 — May 3, 2025
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Papa, Bruno Piattelli. Born on January 5th, 1945, in Miglianico, Italy, Bruno passed away peacefully at home in West Kelowna, BC, on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at the age of 80, after a long and courageous battle with Friedreich’s Ataxia.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Silvana (née Di Carlo); his loving sons, Luciano (Christy) and Sandro; and his cherished grandchildren, Marisa and Daniel. He also leaves behind his four loving siblings, their partners, and many nieces and nephews.
Bruno was a fiercely loyal man who loved his family above all else. His legacy will continue through his soulmate and life partner, Silvana, his sons, his grandchildren, and all who loved him. May God rest his soul in heaven, surrounded by music, wine and his beautiful garden.
Viewing will be held on THURSDAY, MAY 8, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 PM, at Springfield Funeral Home (2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC).
Funeral Mass, will be held on FRIDAY, MAY 9, 2025, at 9:45 AM (PDT), at St. Pius X Catholic Church (1346 Gordon Drive, Kelowna, BC).
Interment will then take place after the service at 11:00 am, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens (2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna).
After the burial, a reception will be held back at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
