We Remember
PILON, Michael Wayne
December 2, 1978 — June 4, 2022
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Michael Wayne Pilon on June 4, 2022. Sadly, he was only 43 years of age.
Michael will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Brad & Pam; sons Dylan and Lucas; stepbrothers Terry and Shane; and the love of his life, Tara Laybourne, and son Kaylub. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins residing in both BC and Alberta. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Harry & Yvonne Ricciuti, and his cousin Jason Ricciuti.
Michael was born in Calgary, Alberta on December 2, 1978. He was only 5 years old when his mom made the decision to move to Kelowna, BC to start a new life.
Michael will be forever remembered as a kind soul who loved all the people in his life unconditionally. He had a very strong love of nature and all animals of any kind. His dog, Monty, was truly his beloved fur baby, they stuck together like glue. He was passionate about camping and fishing, snowboarding and golf, whenever able he looked forward to doing these sports. Any questions about hockey or NHL statistics? Just ask “Mikey”, he knew all the answers. His love of God had also become a big part of life on a daily basis. Those who knew him will remember his boyish grin and his unconditional loyalty. His eagerness for helping others, whether the task be big or small, he would be there.
Rest in Peace dear Michael, take comfort in knowing you are loved by so many. Soon you will be in the loving arms of your “Gramma” and “Grampa”, where you will be forever safe.
Michael had mentioned that, in the event of his death, he wanted no service. Therefore, we are respecting his request.
