The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Earl James (Bud) Pollock on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Kelowna General Hospital, just short of his 92 birthday. His loving wife Clareen of nearly 68 years of marriage predeceased him on March 26, 2013. Dad was born in Sintaluta, Saskatchewan, one of 10 siblings of parents John and Eva Pollock. He was the loving father of Cheryl Elaine Bland (Brian) and Larry Pollock, grandfather of Colleen Leanne Bland (Joe), Kevin Herbert Bland, Emily Mitchell (Trevor), Warren Pollock and great grandfather of Blaise Cameron Smith and Chloe Elaine Smith. Dad was a Veteran of the Second World War, fighting in the North African campaign, Sicily, Italy and finally taking part in the liberation of Holland. He was a business owner (Kelowna Craft Cabinets) and highly talented craftsman in Kelowna for many years. In later years Dad became an accomplished luthier and the family is fortunate to have many of his fine guitars. The family, nieces, nephews and friends will dearly miss Dad.
