Art’s photo and obituary evoked memories of the 1970s when my mother Pamela Thomas and I were active members of the BCGS and charter members of the Family History Association of Canada. I have several photos that Art took of the most senior and junior members of the BCGS circa 1976. Well into his 90s, Walter Draycott was the senior; still a student, I was the junior. It is my understanding that one of those photos can be seen at the BCGS Library in Surrey. I have lived in Kelowna since 1980 and was a charter member of the Kelowna and District Genealogy Society circa 1984.. I did not know that Art and Louise also moved to Kelowna, although I am aware of the inspiring story of the Men’s Shed project. Mum passed in Port Moody in 2002, but we both enjoyed our friendship with the Posts during our Burnaby days, With heartfelt sympathy to the Louise and the Post family on Art’s passing, Sandra.
