We Remember
Prosser, Arselie
January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the age of 79. Survived by her loving family, son Larry (Bev), daughter Susan Marshall, daughter Cathie (Laurence) Wilson, daughter Charlene Prosser, son David (Kendall), daughter Michele (Brent) Bjornson; grandchildren Shawn Boldt, Nicolle (Robert) Williams, Shannon Marshall (Phil), Kimberly (Cam) Lamming, Julia Wilson (Daniel), Tyler, Brianna and Jackson Prosser, Blake and Alexandra Bjornson, great grandchildren Stephanie Johnson, Kennedy, Nico and Cooper Melson, sisters Una Kilpatrick and Yvonne (Lorne) McCarty. Sadly predeceased by her husband Ivan, son-in-law Reg, brothers Gordon Kilpatrick and Floyd Stockford, grandson Shawn and granddaughter Shelby. Mom was a long time resident of Kelowna, settling here with Dad, in 1950 to raise their family. She worked for more than 20 years in the fruit packing industry at BC Fruit Packers in Kelowna, making many lifelong friends. One of Mom’s greatest passions was travel, she thought nothing of hooking up her travel trailer and driving across Canada, coast to coast, or flying to the other side of the world. Her most recent trip in Nov 2010 to the Holy Land was a lifelong dream. She loved, appreciated and enjoyed her large family unconditionally. She will be missed. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Hart and all the angels at Hospice House who made her last days so much better. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Mission Creek Alliance Church, 2091 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC with Pastor Terry Dyck officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Okanagan Hospice Association, 104 – 1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2E6.

So saddened to hear of your loss, Larry & Bev. I worked with your Mom at Westmills in 1975. At 20 years old, I looked up to her, and greatly appreciated her patience, and sense of humor, while she taught me.
Take care.

If I was to say there was such a thing as a great funeral…this was it. The family celebrated the loss of their loved one by telling stories and singing songs.Arselie was sooo loved and respected. I’ve only known her for a little over a year, but she was an amazing lady. Charlene….you look so much like your Mom did when she was younger, so you can carry her prayers on for her. Take care everyone and I hope you still enjoy your CHRISTmas like your Mom would want.Love Jules and Vivian Kreeft <
