We Remember
PYSH, Dale
—
Dale Joseph Pysh died on November 15, 2022. After a lengthy stay in hospital, here in Kelowna, BC, he no longer suffers. He has joined God’s community in Heaven and is now resting in Peace.
Dale leaves behind his very special friend, partner, and caregiver, Kathryn Neilsen. He is deeply missed by his two “Grandsons”, Lucas and Mason. His family in Edmonton also mourns: sister Marlene Peters (John); brothers Wayne (Dianne) and Randy Pysh; and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dale was 75 years old and lived those 75 years making those around him laugh and feel welcome. He was an avid hockey fan, cheering for the Edmonton Oilers through good and bad seasons, as well as playing goal, himself, through the ranks for over 40 years. His hockey pals nicknamed him “Leak”. Dale had an addictive interest in cars, always wishing that he still had all the cars he owned growing up. Dale would often reminisce of when he would “borrow” his Dad’s car. His Father could never understand why the tires wore out so quickly!
Dale was an Insulator by trade and kept in touch with many of his co-workers and Union buddies. He had friends from Grade one still in his phone book! In the past few years, Dale could be found in his “man-cave” watching television, something he took pride in, often bragging that he had been watching since the 1950s, when his family bought their first TV.
Dale, and his laughter, will be missed by all who knew him. He is now protected in the arms of our God in Heaven, may Dale know eternal Peace.
Dale will be remembered individually by family and friends, no formal service will take place.
