Passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the age of 59. Survived by his loving wife Beth; son Brett; daughter Sara; sister Deb Stotz (Egon) of Kelowna; numerous nieces, nephews as well as dear friends Ralph and Shirl Foster. Predeceased by his father and mother, Ernie and Shirley Rampone. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Saturday, May 19th at 4:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077.

Although we have not seen Gary recently, we have the fondest memories of our dear friend, Spud. Our condolences go to Beth, Sara and Brett-we are thinking of you all.

My thoughts go out to Gary’s family. I remember sharing good times at the Oyama Lake cabin with “Uncle Louie” Senger and Gary. Gary lived a good, but far too short life. He will be missed.

Beth, Brett and Sara: We’re shocked to hear about Gary. Gary was a great buddy back in the days when I still lived in Kelowna. Unfortunately we lost touch over the years. What I liked about Gary was that he was always a straight up guy and you new where you stood with him. Dear, dear Gary, such a gracious, welcoming person who was always glad to see us. We fondly remember when we first moved to Kelowna & he made us feel like we were old friends. So easy going, even when I beat him in the Bunkhouse NFL pool. Our condolences to his family, who must miss him so much. We all do. Rest in peace, Gary.

So saddened to hear of Gary’s passing. I knew him from the Bunkhouse where he always treated me like a long-lost friend, was interested in what I was up to and I certainly looked forward to seeing him there. When my dad didn’t show up there for several weeks after a knee operation, Gary phoned our home to see how he was doing. We were really impressed by that. He was a good friend to my friend Brian Lightburn as well. He will indeed be missed.
