We Remember

RAND, Marshall Clayton

Died at Kelowna General Hospital on February 25, 2016 at the age of 82. Marshall is survived by his loving family, daughters: Kristine Neilson of Chicago, Illinois, Karen Neilson of Vancouver, BC, Maeve Rand of Fanny Bay, BC, and Laurie Forshner-Talbot of Sechelt, BC; nine grandchildren: Tiffany, Nathan, Avery, Melanie, Marie, Erin, Andrew, Allison, and Clayton; thirteen great grandchildren; brothers Neil Rand and Barry Rand; and sister Dale Rand.  He is predeceased by his wife Shirley on June 27, 2015.  Marshall was a long-time member of the Masons, and a recent member of the Shriners.  He was a volunteer driver for the Canadian Cancer Society.  His passions were hunting and fishing-and once again Dad, you forgot the life jackets at Ken Ford’s!  Special Thanks to his local “brothers”, Mike, Fred, and Dave.  He will be dearly missed by all, including Mr. Buffy their beloved dog.  No Service by request.  Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation, #4 – 1551 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9, or the Okanagan Small Dog Rescue, oksmalldog.com/donations-fundraisers.  For those wishing to send a condolence, photos or share memories, may do so by scrolling down this page to the area called “Share Your Condolences”.
