REDEKOPP Jacob “Jake”
April 8, 1928 — August 29, 2021
Born in Gnadenthal, Ukraine on April 8, 1928, Jake Redekopp went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2021, in Kelowna, BC.
Jake will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Julie; his three sons Ed, Herb, and Bob; his daughter Julianna; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jake’s memory will also be cherished by his two brothers Benjamin Redekopp and John Redekopp; his two sisters Nettie Geisbrecht and Clara Winter; as well as many nieces and nephews. Sadly, he was predeceased by his daughter Monica; brother Peter; and his sister Elizabeth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PAOC Missions c/o Evangel Church.
A Memorial Service, with a reception to follow, will be held on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM PDT, at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the number of attendees will be limited, if you wish to attend PLEASE CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family ONLINE BY LIVESTREAM (see below), a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.
The family invites those who are attending or livestreaming the service to join them in wearing Jake’s favourite color: red, in honor of his memory.
