It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Albert Redschlag who, while surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully in the presence of his Lord and Saviour on June 2nd, 2017 at the age of 88.
He was the 3rd of 6 children born in Aleksandrow, Poland (a German settlement). In 1950 he immigrated to Wetaskiwin, Alberta. In 1955, Albert met and married the love of his life, Erna, where they lived in Edmonton and operated a construction company until they retired to Kelowna in 2000, after a long and successful career.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by this loving wife Erna, his life partner for over 61 years, his brother Assaph (Erika), brother Kurt, brother-in-law Otto Streu, sister-in-law Irma Redschlag, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, along with many extended family and friends.
Albert was predeceased by his sister Margaret who died in infancy, his parents Albert Sr. and Tabea, his oldest brother Art and sister Katie.
A Special Memorial Service celebrating Albert’s Life will be held Saturday, June 10th at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
