We Remember

REID, Lynda June

June 16, 1949 — December 13, 2024

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the loss of Lynda June Reid, who passed away on December 13, 2024, at Mission Creek Landing, at the age of 75. Lynda is now finally at peace and no longer in pain.

Left to hold her dear to their hearts are her children Veronica (Mark) and Travis (Lentina); grandchildren Mackenzie (Anna) and Mason; and longtime friend, Judy Kirkbride. She now goes to join those who passed before her, brother Wayne; and childhood friend Judy Thomas.

Lynda was born on June 16, 1949, in Victoria, BC, and lived a life full of purpose and dedication. She built a successful career as an insurance broker while nurturing her passions and family. Her son, Travis, bred Great Danes, creating cherished memories, especially when her grandsons played with a litter of 12 puppies on Travis’s farm in Grand Forks, surrounded by horses and pigs. Lynda had a deep love for flowers and gardening, a skill she passed on to those close to her, and she also found joy in yoga and sewing, showcasing her creativity and talent.

Above all, Lynda’s fierce love for her children and grandchildren defined her life. She was a constant source of strength, support, and affection, leaving behind a legacy of devotion that her family will always hold close. Lynda’s warmth, energy, and unwavering care will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and friends will each honour Lynda in their own ways. No formal service will be held.
