We Remember
REINBOLT, Alvin Anthony
July 31, 1936 — November 6, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Alvin (Al) Reinbolt on Monday, November 6, 2023, at the age of 87. He is survived by his loving sons Rick (Connie) Reinbolt of Kelowna and Rory (Linda) Reinbolt of Terrace; his cherished grandchildren Jeremy (Gabriela), Joshua, Emily (Mike), Francesca, Ben (Sarah), Mitchell (Morgan), and Sam; and his much-cherished great-grandchildren Scotia, Casey, Stanley and Gracelyn. Sadly, predeceased by his loving and much-adored wife of 52 years, Ollie; his parents Anthony and Johanna; brothers George, Joe, Jack, Ray, Leo, and Ed; and sisters, Helen, Agnes, Sally, and Joey.
Al was born and raised near Denzil, Saskatchewan. He met the love of his life, Ollie in Edmonton and they were married in 1959. They moved to Fort St. John, BC, in 1962 with their son Rick, soon followed by the birth of their second son, Rory. Al worked hard to provide for his family in the oilfields of northeastern BC as a truck driver for Kaps Transport. Ollie supported Al in his work and was busy providing a loving and caring home for their family. With the long hours that Al was required to work, he was still able to find the time to cheer and support his boys in their many sporting and life activities. In the mid 1970s with the support of Ollie, he and 3 other partners started up LAND Transport, a very successful trucking company in Fort St. John. Al managed that company until its sale to Mullen Trucking in 1989.
In 1991 Al and Ollie retired to their dream home in Kelowna BC, where many new memories with family and friends were experienced. Family was always very important to Al and he was much loved and respected by his. He was so proud of his two boys and their families. He had a special spot in his heart for his grandchildren as they did for him. And another special spot for his sweet great-grandchildren for which they gave him much joy.
Al passed away peacefully in the love and care of his precious family. The family will always be grateful for all the medical care he received over the years, the doctors and nurses at the 3rd floor east at the Kelowna General Hospital, and last but not least the wonderful and caring staff at the Kelowna Hospice House for his final days with us. Also, the family would like to thank all of his many friends and family for their support to us during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Charles Garnier Parish, or the Central Okanagan Hospice House.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 10:30 AM, at St. Charles Garnier Parish, 3645 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna, BC. A luncheon reception by the Catholic Women’s League will follow the mass.

Our deepest condolences to you and your family. My thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Deepest condolences and praying for the peace of God for the family left behind. I was hired to work for LAND in 1984 as a swamper on a bed truck. Great ownership and a great company to work for. Al was always kind and very supportive. I admired and respected the man immensely.
We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Al passing. Our family has such great memories of our “Uncle Al”. He was truly the “kiddies pal”. I loved visiting Uncle Al and the family most summers of my childhood camping at the lake, He was a very special person in my life and continued to my extended family. We are so grateful to have spent time with Uncle Al last July at Kal Lake. It was a great time enjoying his company and telling favorite stories of the past. We even got to celebrate his birthday as this picture shows him blowing out his candles. We will miss him dearly and remember him fondly.
Rick, Rory and families:
