We Remember

REITZ, Walter

Went to be with the Lord suddenly on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the age of 82. Survived by his loving wife Frieda of 58 years; sons Jim Reitz (Laurie) of Redding, California, Peter Reitz (Cathy) of Calgary, AB; five grandchildren: Samone, Taylor, Daniel, Zeke and Duke; great granddaughter Sonja; as well as extended family and many dear friends in British Columbia and Alberta.  Predeceased by his son Robert.  Walter was a very humble and charming man.  A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 29th at 2:00 pm at First Lutheran Church, 4091 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of BC, 1233 – 13351 Commerce Parkway Richmond, BC V6V 2X7 or the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation, #4 – 1551 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
