Ray passed away at the Kelowna General Hospital on Friday, November 22, 2019, at the age of 76. Ray was born on May 6, 1943, in Ethelbert, Manitoba. He worked as an engineer most of his life, loved curling, hockey, golf and Ukrainian music; something he always listened to when driving home to Manitoba. Ray was someone who was loved by everyone he met; always the guy with a joke, but also a listening ear when you needed it. Ray deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving daughter Raelene Reszitnyk of Calgary, AB; grandchildren Daymen Reszitnyk-Martina, Allyssa Reszitnyk-Martina, Kayden Reszitnyk-Keith, Anya Reszitnyk-Keith all of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by siblings Kathleen Guttman of Aylmer, ON, Marion (Norm) Gilbert of DeKalb, Illinois, and Anne Dupley (Alex) of Gilbert Plains, MB; sister-in-law Ann Rennie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Ray was predeceased by his parents Paul and Justyna; his brothers Michael, Harry, Alex (Walda), and Dave; and his sisters Jessie and Cassie (Frank).

I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Ray’s passing Raelene. Your dad always made himself available whenever I was in Kelowna. I will remember him fondly for his kind and gentle ways and alway being genuine. One time he gave me a really cool tour of Kelowna to parts beyond my usual stomping ground. While the Okanagan was changing a lot over his life, he loved calling Kelowna home. My condolences to the whole family. It is a sad loss for all who knew and loved him.
Very sorry to hear that Ray passed our condolences to the family

I am so sorry for your loss. I cut Rays hair at my barbershop for many years. He was such a kind lovely man with a huge gentle heart always with a warm smile and a big hello. He talked about those grandchildren alot and his drives to Manitoba. He was taken from all of you way to soon. Rest in peace my friend.
