We Remember
RHIND, Norleada Esther
August 22, 1932 — October 1, 2024
And yet another farewell! We are saddened to share the news that one of this world’s most prized individuals, our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Norleada “Esther” Rhind, said farewell to this world and entered her heavenly home.
Esther was a loving wife to Glenn Rhind and a devoted mother to seven beautiful children. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Esther overcame many challenges with impeccable strength. She saw her young children through health issues, endured years of low income in ministry with an unwavering faith that God would provide, and in her final years, she bravely fought cancer all while caring for the love of her life with his own health needs. Her resilience and steadfast faith were a testament to her character.
Mom’s journey lasted for 92 years, and she left an indelible imprint on every person who had the privilege of knowing her. As Psalm 31 reminds us, “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” Truly, she was a virtuous woman whose faith and love were evident in all she did. We take comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of Jesus.
Dad’s earthly farewell was this past April, and we now say goodbye to Mom. We grieve the loss of both of our parents in such a brief period of time, but we are grateful for the abundant years that they both enjoyed.
Mom, you will be missed, but your love and faith will continue to guide us.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice House.
