We are sad to announce Dad’s passing on December 21, 2023, at the age of 89. Dad passed away peacefully with family by his side. Born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, he left school at a very young age to work in the Alberta oil patch. He returned to Winnipeg, MB and worked in the automotive industry before he moved his family to the Okanagan in 1966. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doreen “Betty” (née Fox), and their four children: eldest son, Don, & daughter-in-law, Nancy; son, Darren, & daughter-in-law, Kimberley; daughter, Heather; and youngest son, James. Dad was blessed with seven grandchildren: Joshua, Taylor, Laura, Michael, Sawyer, Brett, and Brooke, along with four beautiful great-granddaughters: Sofia, Ariella, Olivia, and Isabel.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Our deepest condolence to the Rintoul , much love.
I send my condolences to Betty and the kids on the passing of a long-time friend, Wayne Rintoul. I met the Rintoul family shortly after moving to Kelowna in 1973, though minor hockey as our kids played together. We travelled many miles together and shared many laughs. Wayne’s sense of humor; integrity and honesty go with out saying. I miss you my friend, so until our next road trip, keep laughing. Maybe we can pick up Al Vickers on the way.
