We Remember
RITCHEY, Roland Elwyn “Rolly”

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Rolly. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce, daughter Laurene (Tom Hardy) and son Darcy (Anita). Rolly was adored by his grandchildren Curt (Sharlene), Alexi Griffin Venneri (Dave), Ted Griffin (Angela), Darci and Alana. He is loved and missed by great grandchildren Logan, Lucas, Chelsea, Dryden, Ronin and Griffin. He is remembered by his brother Carl (Roberta), John (Glee) and sister-in-law Claire. He is predeceased by parents Elwyn and Annabelle; sisters Hazel and Marla; and brothers Don and Joe. Rolly is fondly remembered by his best friend Fergie, honorary “son” Richard Langevin, and faithful dachshund Janie. Our family gives heartfelt thanks to Doctors Shepherd, McCauley, Wageman, and Kettner; Todd Gale, Community Care and Hospice House nursing staff; and Cooper Road Save on Foods Pharmacy staff. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Lung Association, Okanagan Central Small Dog Rescue Society or Inn From the Cold. Dear Joyce, Laurene and Darcy,
On golden wings the angels soar … watching us forevermore.
From their viewpoint in the air … now a better place than had been there.
On golden wings the angels fly … shooting stars across the sky.
Life’s burdens now around their feet … we’ll meet them there when our life’s complete.
On golden wings, the angels rise … leaving their suffering far behind.
Living forever in our soul … they’re still here, just invisible, you know.

Dear Nanny and Auntie Laurene
Grandpa couldn’t have had better loving care than you two gave him over the last few years. You did all the right things and were there for him 24/7. We will miss him greatly but we are happy he is with the angels and is no longer suffering. We are here for you any time with broad shoulders for you to lean on.
We love you very much.
