We Remember
ROBERTSON, Elsie May
December 29, 1944 — December 27, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of Elsie May Robertson, who went to be with her Lord and Saviour on December 27, 2025, just shy of her 81st birthday.
Left to hold her dear to their hearts are her daughter Carla, son Darren (Dannielle), step-son Donnie (Colleen), and step-daughters Linda and Laura; her grandchildren Sarah (Austin), Jessica (Mitchell), Michaela (Bryan), Cameron, Jamie, Dallas, Ashley, David, Kyle, Derek, Kimberly, Leah, and Jenna; her great-grandchildren Ethan, Audrey, Jayden, Eden, Pierce, and Oakley; and her sister Isabel, and brothers, John and Brian. Elsie also had many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends who she loved dearly.
Elsie ascends into Heaven eternally joining her beloved husband, Chuck, brother Keith, and loving parents who went before her.
Elsie was a lifelong caregiver. From her career as a nurse, her volunteer work with the Salvation Army and the Mission Thrift Store, to being a support for other residents at Sunpointe Village – where she was a fixture in the hallways the past 3 years, bringing a smile to staff, residents, and visitors alike.
Elsie lived each day with a positive outlook, even in the face of struggle, and faced life’s challenges with courage and tenacity. She had a natural way of encouraging the people around her, lifting spirits with her strength, kindness, and unwavering resolve.
Elsie loved to travel, sing, share stories, laugh, and she had a great sense of humour. Above all else, Elsie cherished time spent with her family, who were the centre of her world.
Elsie will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.

I will think often of my friend Elsie who I have known for many years. We met at our LPN course in Kelowna in 1965 and remained friends throughout the years even though we went our separate ways, we would find each other along the way and re-connect. Many laughs were had. She always helped everyone that needed it over the years including myself. When she lived in Sunpointe Village, I would stop for coffee on my way home to Kamloops after an appointment, and we would go over the pictures in a little album that I made for her of during our early years. Many good memories. Even though she had many medical issues in the last few years, she always had a smile and another story to tell. All the tubes and bags just gave her another venue to laugh at herself and take you with her and she would say she must be still here for a reason. I will miss you Elsie….
Dear Carla, Isabel, John, Brian and families, you all are in our prayers and hearts as you say good bye to Elsie. Such great memories of her as we were all growing up as teenagers. We can not wish her back to this crazy world but look forward to our heavenly home together. We will indeed watch the livestream on April 4, 2026. Sending you hugs and sympathies your way. Elsie will be missed xoxo. Betty and George Shields

Carla and family, I’m sending my prayers and condolences to all the family, Elsie and Chuck were our greatest friends and we always welcomed them to come to U.S. , we also traveled together in our buses, we always had great fun, I do miss her so very much, we stayed in touch via phone calls. I truly appreciate all your family for keeping in touch, may God bless you and your family, love Sandi Wheeless 🙏🙏🙏🥰💜🩵❤️
Sending heartfelt condolences to Elsie’s family. We had the pleasure of meeting Chuck and Elsie almost 30 years ago. They would be traveling to or from Mexico and would stop by our place in California. We have such good memories of those visits. She and Chuck were so proud of all their children and grandchildren. Elsie was an example of how to live this sometimes very difficult life with grace, dignity and humor. May she rest in peace with Chuck.
