We Remember
ROBERTSON, Joyce Marjorie (née Brown)
June 8, 1931 — September 26, 2026
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the loss of Joyce Marjorie Robertson (née Brown), who passed away while surrounded by family on September 26, 2026, at the age of 95, at Kelowna General Hospital.
Joyce is lovingly survived by her children Randy (Roxanne) Robertson, Cindy (Rick) Johnson, and Kelly (Doug) Chapman; grandchildren Ashlee (Ray) Fisher, Kaila Corneille, Shelby (Devon) Fiorda, Alexa (James) Fowlie, Jessica (Wilson) Robertson, Tyler (Megan) Robertson, Erin (Matthew) Foster, and Kyle Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Jean Reed; sisters-in-law Donna Brown and Joy Hughes; lifelong friend, Richard H. Burton; and many nieces and nephews.
She now goes to join those who passed before her, including her beloved husband, Roy Robertson; brother Bob Brown; and sister Edith Plante.
Joyce was born on June 8, 1931, in Perdue, Saskatchewan. Throughout her life, she called many places home, including Winnipeg, Manitoba; Holberg and Victoria, British Columbia; and finally Lake Country, British Columbia. Wherever life took her, Joyce’s greatest joy was always her family. She treasured the time spent together, especially the many family vacations that created lasting memories. Joyce had a special way of making everyone feel loved and remembered, and she never missed a birthday, ensuring those closest to her always knew how much they meant to her.
Joyce also had a fun-loving and competitive spirit, especially when it came to card games and board games. She was a fierce competitor who loved a good game and wasn’t one to let anyone win easily! She proudly taught all of her grandchildren how to play rummy, passing along a family tradition that will bring smiles and fond memories for years to come.
Joyce will be remembered for her love of family, her thoughtful nature, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but the wonderful memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever.
