We Remember

RODGERS, Del

Del Rodgers, a proud Kelowna resident for 30 years, passed peacefully on January 16, 2025, with his daughters by his side.

In Kelowna, Del will be endearingly missed by his wife, Nora; daughters Jennifer (Paul) and Laura (Neal); and the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Laura and Neal’s children: Stirling and Lita. In Ontario, Del will be lovingly remembered by his mother Barbara; brother John; and sisters Kelly and Jo-Anne.

When coming to Kelowna from London, Ontario in the early 1990s, Del told his family that Kelowna was “God’s Country”. During his years in the Okanagan, he enjoyed sailing, skiing, golfing with his grandson, spending time with family, and socializing with his good friends at Sammy J’s. Del will be remembered thoughtfully for his contributions to building many homes in Kelowna, for his work with Napa Auto Parts, and for his kindness and witty sense of humour.

Del’s family is grateful for the excellent care he received at Hospice House in his final weeks, where he was able to spend quality time with his family and friends.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Kelowna Hospice House

We love you Dad, thank you for everything, you will be missed.

At Del’s request, no service will be held.

  • Steve Wood says:

I was deeply saddened to hear of Del’s passing. I had the privilege of working with him at NAPA over the past five years, and I will greatly miss our conversations and his wonderful sense of humor. He leaves a significant void in the store, and his entire team will miss him dearly. My sincere condolences go out to Del’s family—he spoke of you often and was immensely proud, especially of his grandchildren.

  • JAMES trafford says:
