We Remember

RODINE, Michael Jordan

January 12, 1987 — April 19, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Michael Rodine, who passed away on April 19, 2024, in Kelowna, BC, at the age of 37.

Michael now goes to join those who passed before him, including his grandparents and Aunt Gaylene. Left to hold him in their hearts are his parents, Irene and Fergus Rodine; brother, Jason Rodine; uncle Connor; as well as numerous friends and cousins. Michael’s best friend and soulmate, Michelle, will also miss him dearly. Along with his many other friends, his mentor and good friend from Grand Prairie, Tanya, will feel his loss deeply.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman, finding enjoyment in hunting, fishing, and camping whenever he could. A diligent worker, he approached every task with determination and integrity. Known for his quick wit and endless jokes, Michael could light up any room with his infectious sense of humour. Beneath his playful exterior, he possessed a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His kindness and compassion were evident in his interactions with others, making him a cherished friend and ally to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Family and friends will each honour Michael in their own way. No formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

    Fergie, Irene, Jason and family
I am so sorry and saddened by the death of Mike. My thoughts, prayers and love go to you all.
Mike spent a lot of time at our house in Crawford growing up. He and Evan shared a wonderful friendship. Mike was such a kind soul with a heart of gold. He was always respectful and kind and was a wonderful friend to all. I always remember phonecalls ” Hi, this is Irene, Mike’s mom is he there” he usually was. May you all find comfort in the memories of what a kind, considerate and caring person Mike was.
    With much love, Debbie Welder
