We Remember
ROESLER, Doris Helen (nee Fisch)
—
Went to be with the Lord peacefully with family by her side on July 27, 2018 at the age of 70. Survived by her loving husband Ron of 48 years; sons: Randy (Sandra) of Edmonton, Darren (Sabine) of Lake Country; daughter Christine (Paul) Cockings of West Kelowna; grandchildren: Arwynn, Ethan and Claudia; sisters: Ruth (Joe) Dion of Vancouver, BC, Lois (Harold) Mickelson of Barrhead, AB; sister-in-law Trudy Roesler of Kelowna; nephews: Joshua, Bryon, James and many dear friends. Predeceased by her father Hugo Fisch in 1955 and her mother Hilda Fisch in 1997.
Doris was a friend to many, loved by all who met her. She cared selflessly for her family and gave the best of herself to make the lives of those around her better. She is best remembered for her unwavering faith, ability to listen, and quick wit. Doris carried the burdens of many; with her encouragement and kind words she made you feel you could take on any problem. She shared the hope she had in Jesus with the people around her and inspired many by how she lived. She will be missed!

Thank you, Doris for being the best Mom and Grandmom we could have wished for Paul and Arwynn! Your heart and home were always open. Rest well! Dave and Velva
Dear Ron, Randy, Darren, Christine and your families,
We are so sad that you had to lose your Mom and wish our deepest sympathies. We also lost a dear friend of many years. Although the miles separated us most of these, we do have some cherished memories. Sending you a few of those photos. Your Mom had a beautiful smile and great laugh, we will always remember. Now she is in a better place, up above with her Lord and Savior, where she wanted to go the last while. May the Lord our God comfort you all and especially you Ron, who lost a great wife. We would have loved to attend the funeral, but unfortunately are unable.
With Lots of Love and Prayers,
Waldemar & Edith Makus

Dear Ron, Randy, Darren, Christine and your families,
Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear wife, mother, grandmother and a great friend. Although we lived miles apart for most of our lives, we have wonderful memories of your mom and your family. We remember your mom’s beautiful smile and contagious laugh, even a few weeks ago on the telephone. May God be your comfort during this difficult time and carry you on his arms. With lots of love and prayers,
Waldemar & Edith Makus
May precious memories sustain you now!
Dear Ron and family, I am so very sorry for your loss and wish you the comfort that only God can give. I remember first meeting Doris when I was a child visiting Manola. When she got married and moved to Edmonton a few years later, I loved hanging around with her and the babies. She was such an open, honest person and always welcoming. What a testimony, to keep the faith till the end.
We had the pleasure of reconnecting with my cousin, Doris (a beautiful lady) and Ron and Christine after many years, thanks to my cousin, Ruth and Joe! Was a wonderful reunion, only now to say goodbye, Our hearts, love and prayers for comfort and peace are going out to all the family, including Doris sisters and their families! We are sorry, we’re unable to attend due to Doug in hospital but send all our love! Love Marlene & Doug
Dear brother Ron and family,
So many things have happend to all of us since we were in Toronto.
Let our Lord Jesus be your help and comfort during this sorrowful time.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dear Ron and all your family and the family of Doris. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time. May God give you the comfort that only he can give. Because I (Ruth) knew Doris all her life I have many fond memories of Doris and the family. Doris will be missed but we know she is in a better place and may she rest in peace in God’s Kingdom.
Wishing all the family strength in the days ahead and the comfort only God can give
These are times of enduring thoughts of the days gone by that are “just like yesterday” in my mind..
My thoughts go back to the family get togethers at the Fisch home in Barrhead Alberta.
They were occasions of a fine meal (I can smell it now) being prepared as Doris, Ruth or Lois entertained us with their piano playing skills and songs of faith.
I did recognize the Godly like peace with which Auntie Hilda ensured was a guiding factor as a widow and mother of three girls.
It is with a smile that I do remember these days of the past. It is with sorrow that they shall never be again on this earthly planet.
I then ‘fast forward’ to the life of Doris and her worldly journeys guided by our Heavenly Father and her faith in following our good Lord Jesus Christ.
This is the time I am thankful of the life we all shared with Doris,,,,, not only in the past,,,,,,,,,, but during days of walking along side as a relative, friend, wife, mother, grandmother and all roles,,,,,, growing strong in faith and living and enjoying the time allotted her,
You are loved and missed Doris and will live in our hearts for eternity.
My condolences to all.
Until we all meet again.
Cousin Bob
GOD BLESS
