We Remember
ROGERS, Susan Lynn (née Treadgold)
January 16, 1951 — September 13, 2023
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend, Susan Rogers. She had been battling non-alcoholic cirrhosis and suffered a stroke Monday, September, 11, 2023. The doctors couldn’t do any more to stop the clots from forming, so she was made as comfortable as possible till the Lord took her Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 72.
On January 16, 1951, Susan was born in Kelowna, BC, where she lived all her life. She met and married Christopher Rogers, September 10, 1972. They started their family with the birth of Ryan and later completed it with the birth of Leslie. Susan worked at The Bay in the jewellery department for 36 years, the Vernon Police Detachment for over 20 years, and as a foster mother for 14 years. Many years she did all the above at the same time.
Susan was predeceased by her father, Jim, and mother Vi. She is survived by her husband Chris; children, Ryan (Stacey) and Leslie; granddaughter, Hailey; sister Trudy; niece, Michelle, grandnephew, John (Patti), and great-grandnephews, Austin and Christian; as well as sister-in-law, Karine, niece Diane, grandniece, Paige (Ryland), and grandnephew, Chase (Jessica).
Anyone who knew Susan knew she was selfless, thoughtful, loving, kind, generous, family oriented, a hard worker and so much more. She has a beautiful smile that lit up a room and your heart. She always made you feel welcome and took many under her wing, loving them like family.
She will be deeply missed.
We would like to thank family and friends for the outpouring of love and support.

Chris, Leslie and Ryan…I am so very sorry for your loss. Susan was a childhood friend and when last home in July, we had lunch and caught up. I know in my heart her suffering as God wrapped her into his arms and she is at peace. Our memories continue through actions, laughter, photos and friends…Last night I took apart one of my Mom’s very old photos and found this … MOTHER A friend through all the passing years, Whose friendship never alters, Whose tender presence ever cheers, Whose kindness never falters, We all have her to love and trust, Through life, for there’s no other, So loyal, fond and true as just- One’s Mother….Always with us and but a moment away. Rest in Peace Susan, until we meet again…
Our sincere condolences to all the family and friends that had the pleasure of knowing this loving lady. As many of you know, she had a heart of gold and was always willing to help and listen. She will forever be in all our hearts. Rest in peace beautiful soul…
I don’t think Sue knew how many lives she influenced so many of us extras she & Chris took under their wing. She loved us like one of her own, unconditionally. She was gentle wise thoughtful and generous to name a few of her loving qualities. But a force, with strong convictions she stood firm on.
A life well lived. ❤️
Chris, Ryan, and Leslie, My condolences to you all, it’s hard to lose such a beautiful and loved family member. Sue was always a pleasure to visit with, she has been a friend for over 50 years. RIP Sue
