We Remember

ROLOFF, William

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, dad and grandpa on January 15, 2014.  Bill is survived by his loving family, his wife Adine (married 64 years), son Rod (Janet),

daughter Brenda (Edward), grandsons Matthew, Aaron and James, sister Lydia (Leonard), brother-in-law Vern, sisters-in-law Myrt, Shirley, Lydia (Ben), Alice, Vera and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.  Bill was predeceased by his brothers Rudy and Victor and his sisters Olga, Helen and Ruth.  Born March 20, 1924 in Chelm, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1928.  Bill enjoyed several occupations in his life time; farm worker, mine worker, oilfield roughneck, mechanic, owner/operator of trucking businesses, Operations Foreman at Hilltop Sand and Gravel and most recently inventor and builder of special equipment including custom boat lifts and elevators, scooter canopies and a multiple of small projects for friends and family.  Bill loved to listen to music, watch football and work on projects in his garage.  You will be greatly missed.  God’s speed Dad.  Thank you to KGH and B.C. Ambulance for all your efforts.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to a charity of your choice.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

    Sorry for your loss; may Bill fare well on his journey. I am the daughter of Hermann Henfling who worked at Hilltop Sand and Gravel; as a young girl I often heard the name Bill Roloff.
