We Remember

ROSVOLD, Linda Maurice

July 31, 1948 — August 3, 2026

We mourn the loss of our dearest Linda Rosvold. She will be remembered for her cheeky nature and quick-witted one-liners. Her love of sweets was renowned; from cakes and ice cream to thumbprint cookies, we think she secretly ranked us based on our (mis)aligned dessert preferences. She loved catching up over weekly drives around Kelowna with an A&W burger in hand.

She was a hard-working self-starter who built a life and multiple successful businesses with her husband Garry in Merritt, BC. In the evenings, they rallied around the television over Blue Jays games and the Canucks, but to avoid disappointment during a loss, they would switch over to Wheel of Fortune.

They also loved to garden together, growing their own tomatoes and, in particular, spaghetti squash to enjoy roasted with butter and brown sugar. They spent many vacations in Mexico and Las Vegas with friends and family. In Vegas, Linda and her daughter were inseparable, found at the slot machines as they hopped from one hotel to another together.

She was a conversationalist, always in the know, always interjecting her latest news with “Not to change the subject.” Linda was also a historian of sorts, having been related to many founding families of the Nicola Valley and British dignitaries.

We were blessed to introduce her to 8 great-grandchildren. She loved watching them show their ballet and kung fu moves they learned over a shared cupcake or two.

She is survived by her two children, Dana and Chad, along with 4 granddaughters and 8 great-grandchildren.

Love you forever.
