We Remember
SACHARUK, Jean
October 2, 1919 — May 17, 2016
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Tuesday, May 17 at Hospice House in Kelowna, BC. She will be forever loved and missed by her daughters Lorraine (Les) Tenning, Marnie (Pat) Mikitka, son Lawrence (Shelley); grandchildren Stewart (Rachel), Hana, Heidi (Chris) Martin, Kelley (Pat) Brewster; great grandchildren Aja, Reilly, Layla and Caitlin, as well as two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by our father, Bill Sacharuk in Saskatoon, SK in December 1982, and her eleven brothers and sister. There will be a private family service. We wish to thank Father Andrzej Wasylinko of the Ukrainian Catholic Church (Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God) for his weekly visits at the Westwood Retirement Home and at the Kelowna General Hospital and Hospice House.

and see the sun set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free.”

Lori, Marnie & Lawrence & Families
Our deepest condolences in the loss of your mother and a very special aunt. Our thoughts are with you. We shared many wonderful times together and she had a heart of gold. Kenda still thinks she made the best dill pickles.
Love to you all,
Lil & Family
Lorraine, Marnie and Lawrence and family, So sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. She was a beautiful person in more than one way. Todd will surely miss her dental check-ups twice a year. He and Darcy are in Paris right now. Frank and I loved to see her whenever we were in Kelowna. Our love to all of you. Alice and Frank Penkala
