We Remember
Salisbury, Nicholas

GOODBYE NICHOLAS
It is with great pain and sadness that we announce the passing of our son Nicholas Tal Salisbury. He arrived in this world nine weeks early on Christmas morning at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in 1985. Nick passed away suddenly on August 19, 2012 leaving us far too early.
Nick had a passion for music and loved playing the drums. He was kind hearted, generous and loved to make people laugh. Nick was soft spoken but he always had a great deal to say. Nick loved the earth, but saw the problems in the world. He opened our eyes and hearts to many things going on around the world and fought to make changes. You can see Nick’s latest attempt to focus our attention on positive change at the web site that he designed in his spare time (cogscanada.com).
Nick’s memory will be carried on by his parents Tal and Brenda, sister Colby, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We love you and miss you Nick, our family will continue to bring attention to the things you were passionate about and try for positive change.
There will be a celebration of life to honor Nick’s spirit on Sunday, September 23rd 2012 starting at 1:30 PM. The celebration will be held at the Paddle Wheel Park hall on Okanagan Landing Road in Vernon.
If you wish to make a donation in Nick’s memory we will have a donation box set up at the celebration of life. All donations made will go to the “Ribbons of Green Trail Society” to help restore the BX falls trail. A trail our family has enjoyed for many years.

There is no greater loss than that of losing a child and we know that all too well. We too lost our wonderful son, Scott this summer. Our boys sounded much alike with such a zest for life and trying to make the world
a better place. If you would ever like to share some stories I would be honoured to make your acquaintance. Perhaps we can help each other with our grief. Thank you. Lois Lipinski
Brenda, Tal and Colby, we are very sorry and deeply saddened about the unexpected loss of your dear son and brother. We still can’t believe it. Our thoughts are with you at this time. Nick is with the angels.

I remember Nick as a caring and kind young boy who was so interested in science and his environment. Our family was so saddened to hear about Nick. We send you our love and hugs, praying for you to have courage to face the days ahead. Brenda and Tal, you raised a wonderful boy. Colby, I know you will have fond memories of Nick as your brother.

I remember Nick and my brother Eric playing together as kids. Nick was always so sweet and gentle. He seemed so happy on the mountain where we lived and a truly gentle soul. I will always remember his mousy little smile and sweet spirit. I may have photos of him and Eric so where and will surely send them along when o find them. Lots of love.
