I was fortunate to be the first woman accepted to be a member of the Mission Rotary Club in 1996, which like all Rotary clubs till that time were male only. John was welcoming and certainly contributed to the success of the clubs fundraising activities and initiatives. Highly respected and always interesting to chat with. My condolences to his family.
It with great sadness that I learned of John’s passing. Gail, I send you my condolences and my thoughts and prayers. While I am now retired and no longer an authority for the profession, I will say, with full assurance of the many with whom John served as a volunteer with ASTTBC and BDIBC, that his passing will be on the minds of the many who knew John and his work., We enjoyed many great times together, notable when John was a lead player with ASTTBC and the Building Designers Institute of BC. John’s leadership helped advance the professional recognition for BÇ’s building designers, technologists and technicians registered with ASTTBC who provided a valuable service to their clients and the BC communities in which they lived. Find memories will be cherished. John Leech, AScT, CAE, Retired CEO, ASTTBC
