We Remember
SCHMIDT, David Leslie
March 12, 1963 — December 18, 2015
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, brother, and grandfather. David Leslie Schmidt was born in Chilliwack, B.C. on March 12, 1963 and passed away in Kelowna on December 18, 2015, at the age of 52 years.
David was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Olive Schmidt. Left to mourn his passing are his sons Jim Schmidt, Jesse McLeod and daughter Sandra (Jeff) Daniels, his three sisters, Heather Swanson (Colin), Dawn Kielstra and Kathleen Stroeder (Gary), and several nieces and nephews and five grandchildren. David was proud of his many accomplishments and his many certificates and qualifications that he achieved with hard work and dedication. He was 5 weeks shy of his second Red Seal Certification in Electrical and already held a Red Seal in Carpentry. David always had a grateful heart and always shared what he had with others, even if it meant having nothing left for himself he said it would be ok and he would find a way…
David, you were so loved by so many, you will never be forgotten.

Dear Dave will always be remembered to me as the easy going, funny, nice guy that was respected by all, throughout our years together in Abbotsford schools. He by all means seemed to leave a wonderful family legacy and I can only send my deepest sympathies to his family and friends. Too young Dave …sorry to have lost you.
Regards and RIP
David always had good to say about others and we always had good conversation. He will be missed so very much. Thoughts and prayers to all who loved him.
To Dave’s family,
I am thinking of you all, Dave was such a special man. He will be missed by all.
Our thoughts and prayers to Dave’s children and Grandchildren. I had a very long conversation with Dave at our 25 year high school reunion and he was very upbeat and was so much fun to talk to. We reminisced about high school and the fun we had. Such a witty guy and I am sure he will be truly missed by all who loved him. Lots of hugs to you all.
This comes as a huge shock…..only just discovering the passing of my buddy Dave….
The years were spread far between my friend…..but even now I feel you close by.
We will meet again….
