We Remember
SCHOLZ, Karoline Katharine (nee Goeres)
November 13, 2024 — January 1, 1970
Karoline was born August 25, 1922 in Bretheim, Galicia, Poland and went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2017. She married Erwin Scholz on December 9, 1950. They immigrated to Canada in 1956, lived in Winnipeg until their move to Kelowna in 1985. Karoline was predeceased by Erwin and is survived by her son Henry (Janet), daughter Norma; sisters: Henrietta (Herman) Meyer, Herta (Henry) Jandewerth; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Karoline was a faithful participant in her church, Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, serving in many capacities, including singing in the choir and actively participating in various groups, including Frauenverein. She loved her home, various pets, gardening as well as playing her harmonica and accordion. Karla was a loving and caring mother, friend and member of the community. We are eternally grateful for the staff of Glenmore Lodge where Karla spent her last several months.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 8th at 10:30 am at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, 1991 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna, BC, followed by a reception at Christ Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, Okanagan Small Dog Rescue Society, BCSPCA, Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, or a charity of your choice.

Sorry for the loss of your mother she was a very welcoming lady
I have many fond memories of Mrs. Scholz in particular at Moose Lake. We are so very sorry for your loss.
Jo-Anne Thomson and family
So very sorry to hear of your mother’s passing, Norma.
so sorry for your loss; she was a lovely lady. I still remember the birthday party she threw for you many years ago. How she managed to keep it a surprise is a wonder! I will try to make the service, but as yet I do not have a ride, so I will be there in spirit if I don’t make it in body
Karla was a good, kind friend. I’ll always remember her love for life and her famous Torte, of course! I am so glad she is with Jesus forever, and I look forward to seeing her again in heaven. Deepest condolences to her family.
