We Remember
SCHRAM, Peer Desmond
January 26, 1983 — March 23, 2023
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Peer, a heart-breaking reminder of the opioid crisis, on March 23, 2023.
Peer was a proud and adoring father to his two sons, Madden, and Channing. The firstborn son of Peter and Julia; and older brother to Ingrid, Mats, and Warwick.
Peer was born in Cape Town, South Africa, he emigrated with his parents, and they set sail to North America. Growing up in Pincher Creek, Alberta followed by Kelowna, BC, Peer went on to graduate with his Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in finance and entering the banking world.
Peer was a passionate and accomplished athlete, with a unique zest for life and a sense of humour all his own. Always ready to help those in need in the short term but possessing the desire for the greater perspective for this cause. An unforgettable soul, Peer possessed a valiant strength of character and extraordinary fortitude.
You will never be forgotten. We will think of you and miss you more than words can say, and you will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Peertjie, or as others may know him, the “Big Dog”.
If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.
