SCRIMBIT, Grant Warren
February 21, 1972 — December 28, 2022
The family of Grant Scrimbit regrets to announce his passing on December 28, 2022. He goes to join his father, John, who passed in 1999, and his beloved dog, Jackson (d. 2020). He leaves behind his son & daughter-in-law, Joel & Alicia; his mother, Marge; his brother and sisters, Sharon (Tom), Gerry (Cheryl), and Sandy; as well as many extended family members, such as: nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dog Johnny
Born in Regina, Grant’s family moved to Kelowna, BC in 1978, and he attended public school in Kelowna where he graduated from Springvalley High. Grant was a dedicated and hard worker. At a young age, he spent summers working at the Sicamous Husky, the family run business. He continued on working and managing various other businesses including Bubbles car wash, Skogies car wash, and the Husky rocket wash.
Grant was a loving father, brother, and son. He made friends easily, and they loved him for his kind and generous heart. Grant loved sports and was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions, Chicago Cubs, Vancouver Canucks, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Some of his proudest moments were watching and supporting his son play hockey. Grant will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff from Kelowna General Hosipital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honour Grant.

I went to school with Grant, I’m in shock. I’m so sorry for your loss.
We are sorry to hear of Grant’s passing and would like to extend our condolences to Joel and Grant’s relatives and friends. We have fond memories of him. He was a hard worker and a dedicated father. He will be missed. – Skogies
Im so sorry to hear about Grant. He was my cousin, and I used to go over to Uncle Johnny and Auntie Marge’s house and play shuffleboard with him and Sandra when we were young. We used to pick green beans from their garden, and eat more then we put in the bucket. He is in heaven now with his Dad (Johnny), Uncle (Bill), and Cousin (Randy). They will all be surely missed by the family.
He was one of my longest and best friends. A true brother. We’d been friends since grade 9. I miss him and think of him, and our adventures, almost every day. Truly missed, and yet blessed to have had him and all his people in my life.
I went to elementary with Grant. I’m not going to be negative on his passing. I was a poor Native Indian that was good at sports and Grant accepted me. I remember going to his house on the deck with the big satellite dish outside. He loved the Washington Redskins.
Thank you Grant!
