We Remember

SEAWARD, Deanna Alicia

January 3, 1951 — October 27, 2021

It is with heavy hearts of sadness, that we share news that Deanna Seaward, 70, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2021. A life so beautiful deserves to be beautifully remembered. Deanna is survived by her children, Windy (Toby), Barry (Darcy), and adopted daughter Melissa; her grandchildren, Melissa (Ken); her great-granddaughters Kennedy and Parker; as well as her adopted grandsons Nolan and Wyatte. She will be deeply missed and dearly remembered by her extended family and lifelong friends.

Born and raised in Kirkland Lake, ON, at age 16 Deanna ventured west and settled here in BC. She was one of a kind, trustworthy, caring, and gave the deepest, heartfelt hugs. She planted her roots in the Okanagan Valley, where she lived a full and vibrant life. She was one “Sassy Lady” that didn’t take ‘no guff’. Her special gift was a green thumb, to which she passed her time growing plants; she grew them indoors and in gardens. While a resident in assisted living at Blue Heron Villa in Lake Country, BC, Deanna helped with their gardening and flower beds/pots. Her favourite flower was Tiger Lilies, and as of late she had grown fond of Calla Lilies.

She will never be forgotten, for her memory will live on with each new springtime bloom.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to any local seniors centre, directly to the Blue Heron Villa, or plant a tree and or flower bush in honour of Deanna’s beautiful life.
