We offer our deepest condolences to our cousins. Uncle Desi was such a kind and nice person to be around. He always had a good piece of advice and kind words for everyone. I enjoyed the rounds of golf I got to play with him when he was able to come to Cape Breton. We will miss Desi.

We got to know Uncle Desi through the Shea reunions over the years. He was truely a gentle man when I got to know him and thought a lot of him always ready to offer adice in a direct but non intrusive way. The man was in my mind a great golfer but always tried to help me enjoy it even when I was wandering in the deep woods looking for balls. We will truely miss yo Desi

We were so sorry to hear of Desi’s passing. He always had a ready smile at Kelowna Springs and we enjoyed many chats.
I am so sorry and sad to see Des’ face pop up in the obituaries. A few years ago I started to frequent a particular Tim Hortons around the same time of night that he was always there and he was always eager to say hi to a familiar face. I will definitely miss bumping into him and our small talk, and I cannot imagine TH without him. Deepest condolences to the family. <3
