Goodbye to a warm, wonderful person. I count myself lucky to have worked with Hilary many years ago at Bellevue Creek Elementary. My condolences to the family and I send my regrets that I will not be in town to celebrate her life. My thoughts are with you all.
I was so terribly sad to hear about Hilary passing. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time. Remember all the good times and share them often with friends and family.
My thoughts turn to Hillary’s family in deepest appreciation for the work she did to help with the school programmers a Raymer Elementary. I remember her fondly for her positive attitude to all and her support of our library programme. Grant, Craig and Erin I am indeed saddened for your loss. HIlary was my grade 7 teacher at Bellevue Creek Elem in 1989 and one of the strongest positive influences I had in my life. I had the pleasure of re-connecting later in life with her as adult when I worked with Grant at the law firm. My very sincere condolences to Grant, Craig and Erin.

I am sad to hear of Mrs. Shirreff’s passing.. I remember her well as my grade 7 teacher at Bellevue Creek Elementary in 89/90. She was charismatic and inspiring and a fun teacher to have. My thoughts go out to her family.
I was so so sad to hear of Hilary’s passing. My heart goes out to Grant and family. Hilary and I grew up together in Victoria, and shared many fun times and many laughs. Finding her in Kelowna after we moved turned out to be one of the true benefits of our life there.
It was such a privilege to meet Hilary , and get to know her “mother-in law” to “mother-in-law”. First, at Erin’s wedding to my son, Ryan. There we learned each other loved dancing, partying and most of all our children ,who married each other.
Another big shared moment came when we both just spontaneously showed up after Shea’s birth. We agreed , “wild horses couldn’t keep us away”. We celebrated his birth together, 2 grandmas bonded over our children and grandson. It was such fun going out to rejoice together. I will miss more of those moments to share, but know you are here in Erin and Shea and all of those you touched. That includes me. My deepest sympathies to all of you. Sincerely, Cheryl Scullion

Growing through my teenage years just down the road from Hilary always made me feel like a second mother was close by. Such a genuine and caring person…Hilary always made me laugh and not take things too seriously. She was the best. Erin, Grant, Craig, I’m so sorry for your loss.
It is with great sadness that I read of Hilary’s death. We met over 35 years ago as young moms with kids at Raymer School. Hilary was such fun. She was a stand out in the crowd and filled the room with her joyful smile. She will be missed by so many but most especially by you, her beloved family. In the days ahead may you find peace, comfort and hope as you fill your hearts full of warm and wonderful memories.
Grant and family members. Both Pat and I were shocked and very saddened to learn of Hillary’s passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers in providing you and your whole family comfort as you turn to celebrating Hilary’s life and precious time spent with all of you and your circle of friends. Know that we are all there with you .- Brian and Pat McCormick
