We Remember

SINCLAIR, Eyleen Ivy (née Brock)

August 30, 1925 — August 30, 2019

Eyleen was born on August 30, 1925 and she passed away on August 30, 2019 at Oak Bay Lodge, Victoria, BC, on her 94th birthday; it is fitting that she arrived and left this earth on the same dates. She leaves to mourn her children Robert Sinclair, Ken (Fay) Sinclair, Patti (Rob) Hildebrand, and Dean (Michelle) Sinclair; as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Those who went before her are her loving husband, Irving “Bud” Fredrick Sinclair in 2007, and her brothers Rolf and Lloyd Brock.

She was born to Wilbert and Dolly Brock in Saanichton, BC and lived in Sidney, BC until she was 12 years old, when the family moved to Nelson, BC. She went on to marry Bud in Vancouver, BC. Vancouver, Kelowna, and Sidney were their homes of choice over the years.

Her greatest love and blessing in life was her family. All her time, attention and devotion was given to her children, grand and great grandchildren. Her main pastime was a passion, gardening. She will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew her.

A celebration of Eyleen’s life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Ken Sinclair’s residence, 10509 Hwy 33E, Kelowna, BC. Should you desire, memorial donations can be made to BC Children’s Hospital, www.bcchildrens.ca. If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.
