We Remember
SMELTZER, Ian Alexander Francis
—
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ian Alexander Francis Smeltzer on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the age of 81. Survived by his loving family: daughter Brenda Lynn Cherniak of Grimsby, ON, son Brian (Marv) Alexander Smeltzer of Kelowna, BC; grandchildren: Brett and Megan Cherniak and his brother Bill. What a great memory. Thanks Ian!
Our deepest condolences to the Smeltzer family. Ian was an original member of the Harley Owners Group in the Okanagan and we spent many times riding together over the years. He was a great character and will be missed by many.
My Condolences Marvin..
Your Dad was a very special man. When Monica and I used to walk our Beagles in the neighbourhood he would always take the time to stop and chat if he was driving by in his pickup. I doubt he even knew our names but he always had something witty to say and was very nice to the two of us.
God’s Speed Ian – You will be missed…
Brian &. Brenda, Really sorry to hear about your Dad. Have shed some tears but am remembering the younger Ian who was very athletic & very helpful to me when I moved from the farm to Edmonton. Always willing to help & a very hard worker. Remember the good times. We send our love & sympathy to you both. Uncle Jack & Auntie Gene
