Was killed on October 18, 2012 at the age of 17. Survived by her loving mother Terri Burke, father Randy Smith, step father Tim Turcot, brothers Rory Neufeld (Roxanne) of Sherwood Park, AB, Morgan Smith of Kelowna, step brother Ryan Turcot, maternal grandmother Veronica Burke of Salmon Arm, paternal grandparents Del and Dorothy Smith of Morinville, AB, step grandparents John and Denyse Turcot, her aunts, uncles, Kim and Scott Leeming and their son Grant, Mark and Amanda Turcot and their children Wesley and Kelli as well as a group of very close friends. A celebration of Delanie’s life will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Church, 2600 Hebert Road, West Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help pay for Delanie’s final expenses, at any branch of Bank of Montreal.

What a loss…….how many teenagers have 2 jobs, an apartment and a vehicle? What a special girl!

I am so sorry to hear about Delanie. I always thought I would get the chance to meet her. I am glad I attended the funeral and learned about her through the video presentation and all the words from everyone who spoke. She will be missed by all. RIP
