Te voy a extrañar, María
I met Mary only few times, in last 7 years, when hiking with Kelowna Cooc. But I became quickly very close to her. She was such loving, caring person. It was a pleasure to talk to her and to know her better. I am now deeply saddened by this unexpected news. I will cherish my memories of her. Please accept my sincere condolences..
I met Mary through the COOC hiking club and I’m thinking back to a beautiful time the three of us spent on a glorious day in June one year, Mike Motschko, Mary and I went up in the Wilden area hiking and picking berries. We hiked up the beautiful trails chatting away happily each with a little ice-cream pail in hand, once at the berry patch we picked our hearts out. The three of us had a simple and happy fondness for each other. Sadly, just a few years ago Mary and I went to Mike’s Celebration of Life. I remember Mary as a wonderful kind and happy soul and will miss her dearly. With my sincere condolences to Mary’s family and friends.
I am so sorry to hear about Mary’s passing. We knew each other a short time but Mary clicked with our group and she became ‘one of us’ very quickly. She frequently joined us for dinners at the Legion and spent time with us in our homes. We were all looking forward to having her join our Salt Spring Island community. Although she didn’t get to move here as we had all hoped, she became part of our community in our hearts. Our condolences go out to her family and friends. We will all be missing Mary but I know she would want us all to go on and to live our lives to the fullest. We will long remember her.
Mary was a remarkable lady. Her kindness and compassion won her friends throughout the world. Her physical strength made her a powerful hiker and cyclist. Her exceptional courage helped her face the disease that took her life.
I will miss you, Mary.
My condolences to Mary’s family and friends for your loss.
I was a neighbor of Mary’s for 5 years. We had so many happy times playing Canasta. Our group will miss her smiling face and good times we had together.
I met Mary about 8 years ago when she & I worked at Springfield Bulk Foods. We enjoyed our friendship getting together for walks and lunches out. My condolences to her sons, family, friends and all who knew her. Miss you so much Mary xo
