SMITH, Raymond David

Passed away on February 11, 2015 at the age of 73. Survived by his loving family: daughter Christine Smith of Calgary; son Darren Smith (Shar) of Kelowna; grandchildren: Vanessa Friesen, James Friesen and Samantha Adam. Also survived by Myrna Scheller, sister-in-law; Mike and Jeff Scheller, nephews and Jeff’s wife Bonnie and her daughter Kaylea. Predeceased by his wife Marilyn Smith. Ray was born in Calgary on October 10, 1941. He was an electrician, electrical instructor, apprenticeship counsellor and an electrical inspector. He met the love of his life in Red Deer, Alberta. Ray and Marilyn were married for 46 years until she passed away in 2010. Ray was a charter member of the Okanagan Classic Thunderbird Club where Ray and Marilyn made many friends. Ray will always be loved and missed by all that knew him. Thanks to all his special friends who supported him through the last few years.
