Auntie Franny was my god-mom. She best friends from the Art Gallery with my mom. She was fun and silly, and always had an excellent sense of style.. I’m very sad to hear of her passing, Thinking of Kristin and Bill and Don. I will never forget being sent on pumpkin-napping capers and getting shit for losing her steak knives. She took us crab-huntung in Victoria, and skiing in Kelowna. And she had the best eyebrows around! I will miss you Auntie Franny!! xoxoxoxox
My sincerest condolences to Fran’s whole family, some of whom I have met, some not. Rather shocking news to find out that my oldest friend has passed as somehow I thought she’d live for many more years. We met in 1976 and shared so much of our lives together, in west bench, Kelowna and during visits in Vancouver. She was so unique and fun to be with for so many years and we all were delighted when she met Don, danced and soon after married him. I believe her life changed dramatically when he came into her life. Old age is tough, but she went through most of it in her own positive way and laughs were always a top priority. I shall not forget all the memories I have of her, so many great ones, a few sad ones, but so happy I met her all those years ago. Sad to lose her, but great to have had her in our lives!
