With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father.
Andy was born August 3, 1927 and passed away peacefully December 1, 2017.
Left to remember happy times are his wife of 68 years Elizabeth (Betty), daughters Beverley Scott (Andrew), Janet Sperle, Joanne Valcourt (Maurice) and Kathryn Melia (David); 5 grandchildren Erin (Lucas), James, Robyn (Austin), Shannon and Alexandra and 4 great-grandchildren Lennon, Mackenzie, Charlotte and Edward; brother George and many nieces and nephews.
Dad lived life to the fullest. He was devoted to his family, friends, and community. He was a lifetime member of Kinsmen; participating as President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the club. He was also a member of the K-40 club. He loved to play sports – he actively participated in softball, hockey, and curling.
Services will be held Friday, December 8 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road.

So sorry to hear. Many wonderful memories come with Andy’s passing. Fun times of camping, fishing, pond hockey and getting my Dad to paint the house come to mind. Our condolences to Betty and the family.
