We Remember
STASKO, Joanne Lynn
January 23, 1950 — December 15, 2020
Sweet, sensitive, and caring Joanne Stasko passed peacefully with her only child, Lynne, at her side on December 15, 2020, after a difficult 2-year battle with cancer. Joanne was a fun-loving spirit; she loved to dance, and to sing along to country music (Anne Murray, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly, and Patsy Cline to name a few). She was crafty and into a good SNL sketch, particularly from the 80s. Joanne battled with mental illness for much of her adult life; she rallied back time and time again. She is survived by her daughter, Lynne; sister Rena Jones and nephew Justin; and sister Jacqueline Spence, nephew Tyler & grandnephew Milo, and niece Jordynn. Although her immediate family was small, she was loved by many.
Due to Covid-19, there will not be a service.
If you would like to make a donation in honour of Joanne Stasko, please consider the following organizations that assisted her throughout her struggles. Without the care of these compassionate, loving people, Joanne would have faced many more challenges.
