STEELE, Erlean Marion
April 4, 1943 — October 20, 2021
Erlean Marion Steele of Kelowna, BC (formerly of Hagensburg and Terrace, BC) passed away peacefully in the loving arms of family at Spring Valley Care Home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
Erlean was predeceased by her cherished daughter, Brenda. However, she will be forever loved and remembered by her husband of fifty years, Mel; and her sons: Dean (Katherine), Lawrence (Rose), and Wade (Dana); she also leaves behind her grandchildren: Peter, Maria, Krystal, Jenna, and Brandon; as well as her great-grandchildren: Kurtis, Nathan, Rylan, Vienna, and Hezekiah; and many other loving family members and special friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Spring Valley Care Home and its staff, as well as her granddaughter Jenna, and daughter-in-law Dana (her nurses!) for ensuring her comfort, peace, and dignity through her final journey.
Erlean’s interment will take place at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery with immediate family present. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society – a cause dear to Erlean and her family.

Dear cousin Mel and family; so sorry to hear this sad news and wanted to say that Arlene, Shannon, Shelley, Sean and myself want to wish your family our sincere condolences. We have many fond memories of times shared with you and Erlean, from bowling to Blueberry pie, games of charades to fishing on the Kalum. She was kind and helpful and appreciated much more than we ever said. We will miss her too.

Our sincerest condolences to Wade, Dana, Mel and Family. Erlean was a very special person and she will be truly missed by everyone who knew her. We have wonderful memories of our many visits to Kelowna. Sorry we are not able to be with the family at this time. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mel and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Even though you may have been grieving for some time now the gradual dimming of Aunt Erlean’s bright light, it occurs to us that this final loss must be so difficult to bear. May your love for her and your love for each other get you through these difficult times. Know that you are held in our hearts, and we stand with you, with great sympathy.
